چکیده

In this paper we consider the State-Dependent Wiretap Channel (SD-WC). As the main idea, we model the SD-WC as a Cognitive Interference Channel (CIC), in which the primary receiver acts as an eavesdropper for the cognitive transmitter’s message. By this point of view, the Channel State Information (CSI) in SD-WC plays the role of the primary user’s message in CIC which can be decoded at the eavesdropper. This idea enables us to use the main achievability approaches of CIC, i. e., Gel’fand-Pinsker Coding (GPC) and Superposition Coding (SPC), to find new achievable equivocation-rates for the SDWC. We show that these approaches meet the capacity under some constraints on the rate of the channel state. Similar to the dirty paper channel, extending the results to the Gaussian case shows that the GPC lead to the capacity of the Gaussian SD-WC which is equal to the capacity of the wiretap channel without channel state. Hence, we achieve the capacity of the Gaussian SD-WC using the dirty paper technique. Moreover, our proposed approaches provide the capacity of the Binary SDWC. It is shown that the capacity of the Binary SD-WC is equal to the capacity of the Binary wiretap channel without channel state.

Secure Joint Source-Channel Coding With Side Information

The problem of transmitting an i.i.d Gaussian source over an i.i.d Gaussian wiretap channel with an i.i.d Gaussian side information is considered. The intended receiver is assumed to have a certain minimum SNR and the eavesdropper is assumed to have a strictly lower SNR compared to the intended receiver. The objective is minimizing the distortion of source reconstruction at the intended receive...

On Capacity of the Writing onto Fast Fading Dirt Channel

The classic Costa’s “writing on dirty paper” capacity result establishes that full state pre-cancellation can be attained in the Gel’fand-Pinsker channel with additive state and additive Gaussian noise. This result holds under the assumption that perfect channel knowledge is available at both transmitter and receiver: such an assumption is not valid in wireless scenarios affected by fading and ...

Achievable Secrecy Rate Regions of State Dependent Causal Cognitive Interference Channel

In this paper, the secrecy problem in the state dependent causal cognitive interference channel is studied. The channel state is non-causally known at the cognitive encoder. The message of the cognitive encoder must be kept secret from the primary receiver. We use a coding scheme which is a combination of compress-and-forward strategy with Marton coding, Gel’fand-Pinsker coding and Wyner’s wire...

Wiretap and Gelfand-Pinsker Channels Analogy and its Applications

A framework of analogy between wiretap channels (WTCs) and state-dependent point-to-point channels with noncausal encoder channel state information (referred to as Gelfand-Pinker channels (GPCs)) is proposed. A good (reliable and secure) sequence of wiretap codes is shown to induce a good (reliable) sequence of codes for a corresponding GPC. Consequently, the framework enables exploiting existi...

Capacity results for classes of wiretap channels

We consider two communication systems which are time-discrete and memoryless, both depend on a state, in terms of information-theoretic secure data transmission. The compound channel consists of a finite or infinite set of channels which is known to both the sender and the receiver, but unfortunately it is not known which channel is in use for any codeword transmission. In contrast the state of...
